Hi 48prerunner, the Oil Pan is not an issue on the MII in the 56 Frame. At least not for the 3 people whom have already mocked it up. My Pan actually sits above the x-member. Be glad to send a pic if you want. I know that on a Mod Motor into a FOX body mustang the Moroso pan is a requirement. If you look at the picture above of the stock transmission that comes in the 12' mustang you will see it is way too long. The TKO 500/600 fits great. I will know in the next few days if the T56 6 soeed magnum will work.

rzns60 A picture would be great, If you are talking about the shifter position being too far back, you can reverse it, they do it in the kit cars, and I guy I know on another forum reversed the one form the 2008 mustang five speed to work in his bump. Following your guys swaps as your frame width is close if not the same as mine. HAve you come up with what you are doing for ps? I've read so many posts I forget what You are doing. I was all set to go with the S&R kit as all my power steering lines would line up.

The t-56 should work fine. I have a tko 5 speed in my 37 I like it. For the 69 I'm running a 5 speed out of a 98 cobra because I like where the shifter and it was a good buy sorry if I'm hijacking somebodys thread.

48prerunner, I had not heard of anyone rotating the shifter on a 11/12 trans. I will investigate. For the PS there are at least 4 options I know of.

Ford Racing - Turn Key Engine Supply
Vintage Air - Inventors of Performance Air Conditioning - www.vintageair.com
S&R Coyote Power Steering Bracket
2011-2013 5.0 Coyote engine | Sean Hyland Motorsports

I have not figured out which one to go with but the S&R and Sean Hyland make the most sense since I already have everything on the motor but PS.

Fat man fab apparently has an EPAS rack for the newer engines but I have not found it for sale yet.

This is an issue for me right now

Quick update and answer to Heavy100.
We installed the motor a couple of weeks ago. Very surprised by how high the motor sits in the frame in order to clear everything. We ran into big issue with the 6-speed trans. The tail section is so wide that it hits my custom cross-member. I am stuck with 2 options. Move the x-member back or go with a trans with a shorter/narrower tail section. We found a fix to possible flipping the shifter over so it is in a position that will work, but that still needs to be proven out.
We decided to use the Sean Hyland PS Pump as it works with all the stock accessories that came with the motor.

Heavy: Quite a few of us are running the Ford 8.8 from a Explorer. Lots of information here about that. Benefits are that its about the same size as stock axel, easy to install, can be found with a LS 3.73 rear with Disc brakes and HD axel's and axel tubes.. Cheap as they are plentiful.
Coyote's still seem to be very expensive on the used market. I have heard rumors that the truck version may be a cheaper alternative.

You can add 2001-03 Explorer Sport (2 door) and 2001-05 Explorer Sport Trac. Rear Disc was standard option on 2003-05 and are bigger requiring a minimum of 16" wheel. 2002-2010 Explorer (4 door) and 2007-2010 Explorer Sport Trac have an IRS which is why the auto wrecker said they have carriers.

Not until you un-crate it and post some pics!!

Until then it's just a crate with an engine. That could be a V6 for all we know.
