F100's with Coyote's

Hello 56 Fromm, I wanted to know more about how you changed your firewall to fit your coyote motor, if you could show me more pictures of how your exhaust fits on the drivers side. I have a 55 F100 with a 2012 F150 Coyote Motor. I'm having issues with the cast truck headers clearing the steering. Thanks

4.6L 3v

While i am definitely a fan of the Coyote the price tag is a non-start. My wife has only so much patience.

I recently put a 4.6L 3v and 5spd from an '07 Mustang into another project I've got going . It was an easy install and the price was right. I seem to recall it was about 4k for under 20k miles. I then spent another $1,300 on the Ford Racing control pack (computer, PDB works on '07 to '10) and it was basically plug and play. Only extra work was mounting the awkward drive-by-wire pedal, running a return fuel system (with requisite regulator and fittings), running custom (Spectre) air lines and then getting a custom drive shaft (uses flange vs yoke). The 5spd uses an internal slave cylinder so the plumbing was easy (though a pain to bleed). All-in-an-all a great engine for a reasonable price. I plan to do the same (though likely with an automatic) into my '56 in the future.

50 f1 coyote swap

Hey,

I'm new to this forum but I've been following for sometime when I need to find out some info. I'm currently working on a 1950 F-1 and My dad and I are doing the coyote swap. I decided to go with the crate package and the 6-speed my-82 along with a TCI mustang II front end and the 4-link coil over rear with a 9" ford. The suspension is all complete and now we're workingnon mocking up the engine. I noticed the stock headers are hitting the frame. Has anyone run into this? What was your fix? I was debating on notching the frame?
Thanks

I'm currently attemping to put the 4.6L 3V into my 52 F1 with solid front axle and toyota steering box conversion. The stock cast headers will not work. I ordered a set of block hugger shorty headers. I should get them in about a week. I am hoping they will fit!! I'll post an update soon!

I installed a Coyote crate motor in my wife's 52. It has a TCI front suspension and 4 link rear.. 5 speed and I used the headers that came with the engine. Here is a link to my build thread that details how I did it. Yes I notched the frame.

Hi Charles, welcome to FTE the best Ford truck Forum on the World Wide Web!

This is a 5year old thread. Maybe you should start a new thread with a good title and reason your question. And in the meantime show us pictures of your truck.
