If I pull my ICP sensor and crank the truck shouldn't oil come out of the opening for the ICP. If nothing comes out could that mean a hpop failure or a bad stc fitting. Its an 05 with 153000 miles. I just put a new oil cooler in it and it cranks but won't fire.
How long have you cranked the truck since you replaced the oil cooler? Did you refill the HPOP reservoir before installing the new cooler? Is the dash gauge moving?
I did not refill the reservoir before I put the cooler back in. It has been cranked enough that the air should be worked out. Tried a new IPR valve but still will only crank. Oil is getting to the oil filter but I do not show any pressure on the gauge.
It almost sounds like the oil is going back to sump instead of going to the HPOP. At some point, if you cranked long enough, you should get pressure on the dash gauge. Try this......fill the oil rail through the ICP port (I use a turkey baster) and see if that helps you.
