Programming PATS key with AutoEnginuity

Video has been made and I wrote this EMAIL to them.

Hi...
I have been continueing to try to program PATS keys on my ford truck without any luck. I searched some ford forums on the internet and it seems as there are alot of people having the same problem and your answer to them is that the problem is with the vehicle. One man had this same problem, you explained that it was his truck and not the AE product. He then went to the dealer and got a key programmed with the ford NGS system.
I have tried all weekend long to program a second key without any success, I borrowed the Programming machine from my work ( Im a locksmith ) and it was successful at programming the 2nd PATS key.
With the other people having this issue ( 2002, 2003 and 2004 F150 ) and myself having the same issues ( 2001 excursion ) and error messages as the others, It has become obvious it is not the vehicles but something related to the Software / hardware or perhaps a compter setting.
I have video taped the Failure of the AE system while programming the PATS key and the Sucess of the Silca TKO system on the same vehicle and PATS key. Therefor it can not be anything that is vehicle related. Due to the size of the Video ( 1.16 GB Compressed ) I am unable to attatch it to an email. The video is long as it does show the AE displaying error messages, then attempting to gain security access to the vehicle and then fails with error messages again, followed my the Silca TKO machine going thru the security timer and programming the key. Upon your request I will upload it to youtube for you to see.
I look foward to your quick response and the correction of this problem.
----------------------------------------
I hope the youtube may be the kick in the pants they need to fix this issue. Ill keep you posted

OK I worked thru it and I was successful at Deleting all keys and programming new ones. This is what worked for me, I have done it several times to verify my instructions here are correct. I wrote down step by step what I did the then I did it again and again as not to foward inaccurate info and waste peoples time.
1. Plug in all cables and adapters
2. insert a valid programmed key into the IGN and turn to run position.
3. start AE software and connect to vehicle if not set to automatically do so.
4. at the vehicle selection menu change "Enhanced Powertrain" to " Passive Anti-Theft"
5. click ok
6. click "Current" to view codes, Verify there are not any PATS codes displayed.
IF the system shows ANY PATS code, Click clear and click the blue refresh button at top.
and then click current again to check code is cleared
7. Click " Onboard Systems " Tab
8. Change " Self test " to " PATS key programming"
* Steps 9-11 must be done rapidly, If not an error message will be displayed, Start at 9 again *
9. Click " Initate "
10. Use arrow buttons ( not arrow keys ) to select your option.
Erase and Program keys - DO NOT use this unless you have 2 PATS keys cut for your
Vehicle, It will delete all keys from memory and you will need 2 keys to start it again
On Screen instructions will guide you thru this process after the timer cycle is complete.
Disable Key Programming - Disables the option to add keys by cycling 2 valid keys.
Enable Key Programming - Enables the option to add keys by cycling 2 valid keys.
Program Spare Key - Programs addition key without having 2 valid keys.
11. Turn IGN OFF and click " DONE "
12. The 10 min timer will begin
If programming a Spare key, Insert key into IGN - do NOT turn.

If you chose " Program spare key " an error message will be displayed " Key not programmed - System refusal or error" .
Turn on the IGN with the NEW Key
Click the Right arrow to select " Program Additional Key "
Click Done.

I did 3 times, I deleted all keys, added 2 as required then added another key by using only 1 key as if I had lost 1 of the 2 keys programmed previously ... If you still have trouble, I'll video record it and send you link to YouTube. Then you can watch , pause and do it as I do.., let me know Scott
