48 pickup radio

hello all,

i beleve i have adopted a 48 truck radio. i am not sure that it works but everything seems to look good. all the push buttons work(they are all chrome and not plastic like the later models). its face wont fit into the hole in my 51 so i know its a later model due to this and thanks to google images. so if this is what i think it is what are they worth?

thanks

Worth??? A hefty penny if it's in decent condition. Finding good radios is tough, especially 48-50.

Looks great... It looks just like the one I had 30 years ago.... I just don't remember the display in the back that reads "MUSIC" on mine... Wish I could find one again for my truck.... Nice find...

That radio is basically the same as the '48-50 radio with a few minor differences. The bezel is chromed, the trucks' are painted beige. The tuning and volumn ***** on the trucks are basically the same as on the '41 Ford radio except the outer flowerettes are brown.

The last difference is the radio is mounted behind the dashboard. The truck radios have larger brackets that match up to brackets under the dash.
