My 02 did not have one (I bought the truck new). I bought a valve 4 or 5 years ago and it failed last year. I pulled up at a stop light and saw smoke all around me and thought, "Hmmm, someone is overheating....wait...I'm the only one at the light!" It had a nice little spray shooting all over the engine bay.

I've got another one I need to put in there now. Especially with it being as hot as it has been.

What valve did you have? I have a Dieselsite valve I have yet to install, hoping it wasn't one of theirs.
