My new Sinister coolant filter arrived today from MKM Customs. The instruction sheet says that installation of this product may void warranty. Really? something that helps save the engine can void the warranty??
The question I have is this.... Have any of you been to a Ford dealer with any coolant filter installed and had them tell you that it voids your warranty?
I still have 14 months left on my 5/100,000 engine warranty and I don't want any grief if I have to go to the dealer for warranty work.
My truck is a 2007 F250 with only 22,200 miles on it. Purchased Oct 14th 2010 with only 11,634 miles. Runs good, EOT and ECT temps are good. Had a bedplate seal installed at 20,000.
You never really know how a dealer will respond to a certain mod. I have had a coolant on before my warranty ran out and when i had it in for oil leaks my dealer never made a fuss over it.
