The best thing to do is ask your dealer. It just depends on them. I have heard of some doing that. Technicly anything done to your motor (be it performance or other) can void your warranty.
I agree with Texans. Ask the dealer you use. IMO, if a dealership is not logically smart enough to understand the importance of a coolant filter over the life of a 6.0L, then they are either inexperienced or strictly very fiscally minded. If the latter is the case, find a new shop to deal with.
My dealer is definitely not mod friendly and has no problem with the coolant or power steering filters that I've installed and I'm still under warranty.
