is the engine the same as a 2000 pick up?? this bus has disc brakes in the rear. is it metric bolt patter 170mm?? are then turbos, injectors, and hpops the same?? is the rear axle a dana 80??
The engine will be nearly the same, it will have a van turbo and no intercooler. The oil cooler is mounted a little differently, Other than that they are the same, rear is likely to be the same as the truck dually? Which is the 80
The rear will be a Dana 80 but if you're thinking about buying it, look it over real good. I looked at a '99 E350 for parts and it had a driveline e-brake setup. It's easy to leave the parts you don't want hanging on the van, but getting the parts you bought to work on a pickup could be a real headache.
The '99 van also had the older bolt pattern (I think it's 8 X 165mm?) and the wheels wouldn't fit my truck. I don't know when (or if) the vans changed bolt pattern. In some ways, they are completely different animals from the pickups.
Yes, Everything is the same except some minor irrelevant parts. I bought a 96 E350 Bus and I put the front rims onto my 2001. Didn't do the rear rims, but i would assume that on a vehicle the front and rear bolt patters are the same.
ok people checked it out today. the guy is firm on $1400. steering column is apart and no batteries so i cant start it. The bus is a municipal transportation bus for pittsburgh pa area. It's a 1999 has disc brakes in back. Turbo is painted black so it might be a new one. Axle code is 52 which is a dana 70hd 4.10 non LS.
So only question i have now is the hpop 17 or 15 and is the idm the higher voltage one. and does it have ad or ab injectors?
it's a 6.5 bolt pattern. also then dually was about 58" from backing plate to backing plate inn the 99 with the dana hd. i have a 97 with dana drum dually and it's about 66" from backing plate to backing plate. also the dana 70HD backing plate flange is beefier.
