I am about to drive from Georgia to Anchorage. My '06 STX 4WD has 67,000 on it's original shocks. I want to replace them before the 4300 mile trip. Any suggestions? I have 33" tires with a 3" leveling kit in the front and an extra leaf in the rear. I dont want to get stuck with a garbage product while cruising across Northern Canada and Alaska. Thanks for any help!!
You really can't go wrong with most shocks I would stick to Rough Country, Rancho, or Bilstien but even the Car Quest ones and other such brands are better then the stock shocks.
Bilstein's 5100 series, definitely.
Upgraded mine in the front and it's a new car, much better than stock shocks.
I can't hardly wait to upgrade the rear too.
