Kinda scetchy on info. What problem are you having? What vehicle etc.? Wouldn't spend any money till you isolate the problem. If unable to test yourself, stop by Advance/Autozone and have charging system checked, it's free.
sorry took me awhile. College just started back up. Its a 1995 f150 XLT 4.9L 2WD with roughly 118k miles on it. I had it tested by autozone and they told me that was the error but i only occurs under certain conditions. Hence it normally happens at night when i have my A/C on, Lights turned on, and my radio going. Never had this problem in the past but it is getting worse as time progresses.
Was going o take it to Advance Autoparts next and discount and see if i get the same readings just incase but i wanted some feedback on here first
did they test it with the lights and ac on, to simulate the conmditions when it was actiug up? mine makes a sqweaky noise at 12 volts for about five minuits and quietens out when it reaches 12.5 to 13 volts. there is an external voltage regulator on back of the alternator, maybe that needs replacing. there is a backyard test that i've heard of. hold a screwdriver behind alt, while engine is running, if it feels magnetized then alt is working
