I've got an old sears/sekor 135 mm zoom lens that I used a little with a 35 mm Mamiya camera. I'm (trying) to sell the cam at a garage sale, but I wondered if the lens might be worth something. (I know that I'll be lucky if anybody wants the camera.)
It's NOT a Canon mount -- maybe somebody here knows what it is. I know that they do have some digital cameras that will take interchangeable lenses.
I'm not that familiar with the Mamiya SLR's compared to Minolta, Pentax and Yashica. From the looks of it that was the mount they used when they came out with the NC1000 SLR. Earlier cameras, XTL, DSX and MSX used the M42 screw mount. Their later cameras had gold contacts on the bayonet mount for auto focus. Unfortunately their 135mm lens has a very low value compared to all the other lenses. Typical of many lines and is worth maybe $30. If this actually says "Sears" on it then it would go for even less. In fact, on eBay, it may not even get a bid if put up for $10 opening.
The only way it would be worth anything is if it would fit on a new digital camera!! I have three older SLR 35mm film cameras (Canon A1, AE1 and a newer Minolta, plus 3 or 4 lenses for each), they're probably worth a total of nothing!!
Someone might buy your lense at a garage sale though, People will buy anything. I tried a garage sale once, Had a box of old parts/tools with a $1.00 price tag on it, some one offered me 75 cents, told him he could have it for nothing, took the sign down and threw away what was left.
A freakin dollar and he's trying to talk me down, My time isn't worth much, but it's worth more than that.
