I am suspecting the rest of the fuel injectors are lacking in tip-top shape and performance... wish Ford would replace them all for me.
But now I might be leary of the CAM PHASER/s.
(would a bad cam phaser cause ONE cylinder to be bad?)

ps. I am calling Ford hotline tommorrow... this stinks!

No it would throw timing codes. If you have timing codes it could be a phaser, a camshaft position sensor, or a vct solenoid sensor. It would also cause a rough idle / misfire on that side. The engine light usually will flash.

Chris,
I can not get this truck to throw a "check engine light" if I bet it with a stick.
Only one time it threw a code (when the COP finally gave out going up a hill).

But after that was fixed, it is not telling me what is wrong with it.
I may take it to another dealership to get a second opinion...
I didn't call Ford hotline yet, cause I don't want to be a pain in the ***, but it may come to that point.
My truck isn't even drivable, since I live on a hill and it has absolutely no power and I don't want to mess anything else up inside the engine...

Tony.

This is an old old post by now... Just wondering where this info came from? I tried to use that reference number, but wasnt able to find anything in the TSB info or elsewhere. I believe this is what Im noticing...but want to check out more info about it.

Thanks,

Justin
