Title says it all, does anyone have a picture of a crossmember for a M5OD 4x4 transmission?
Im to the point in my project where its time to mate the M5OD up to my 302, and start setting it on the frame, and I just would like to make sure I have the right crossmember.
I bought the tranny from a guy, and he included a crossmember and Im not sure if its the right one or not.
I have a crossmember for a 4x4 AOD, 2x4 AOD, and a 2x4 M5OD, and I am hoping that one of them will work.
Just to add to this thread for future reference, at first inspection, it appears that a AOD 4x4 crossmember is the same, if not the same then very close.
I havent actually pulled it and tried it, and the AOD 4x2, and m5od 4x2 appear to be the same as each other, but also different then the AOD 4x4.

Will update when I actually fit stuff.
I have a 4x4/AOD Bronco sitting at home. I can look at that one tomorrow if you need me to. Let me know.
Sure I would be curious to see if you notice if they are realy similar or not. I dont have the 4x4 m5od one to directly compare it too.
Totally forgot to check this thread this morning before I left for work. If I make it home tonight, I will look at the AOD crossmember for you. If nothing else, I will be home again tomorrow morning, I can look then.
Just got done looking at the AOD 4x4 crossmember. They are very similar, but I see one potentially big difference. If you look at the pic of the M5OD x-member from the side, it turns toward the back of the truck where the trans mount is. The AOD x-member does NOT. Here is a pic. Compare it to the same pic of the M5OD crossmember. It doesn't look like it will work to me, but with some fabbing, you could make it work.
