Firewall Wire Pass Through Picture Needed

Either I am not looking in the wrong place or they are well hidden, I can't seem to find the wire pass throughs on the engine side. I have found the blunt end wires on the driver's side and can see where they come through on the firewall on the engine side, but there is no clear blunt end bundle anywhere I can see.

Does anyone have a picture of where they are located on the engine side? Or least give me a better description than "they are under the hood"?

I got to believe Ford Engineers need more time out in the Field. I found the pass throughs... Behind the power distribution box, with absolutely no length at all on the leads. I mean, literally, there is about an inch that comes out of the harness they are coming out of. And that is blocked by the power distribution box. Unbelievable!

I always just run my own through the same hole that the big bundle goes through. It's easier.

I ran mine thru the smaller grommet below and to the outside of the mainbundle.

Looks like your way or Pacman's way is the only way. I am really surprised they would even bother putting pass throughs in like this. I can't imagine anyone with hands small enough to reach down there with a crimping tool!

I took out the inner fender well to get at the wires.....noway that I could do it from above. And I never was able to locate any of the "so called" wire stubs on the engine side of the bundle. I pulled and looked with a mirror and a light and ended up just running my own wire for my accent lighting thru the smaller grommet and hooked it to the white/blue stripe wire on the inside of the cab.

I haven't looked under the hood of an 11, but I can't believe they would move the wires that much.. here they are on my 08

If you have a 24" tall bench or similar it shouldn't be a problem....... You are not going to be able to reach them from underneath. I could just get to the boot where it comes thru the firewall...... You have to go from the top.

The ones under the dash on mine are right at the point where they go thru the fire wall......getting at the inside ones are not the problem......it's the ones under the hood that are a bitch.

To give everyone a sense of what pacman and I are talking about.

This is the underdash bundle. I have a few more than some folks because of the PTO option on my truck. No problems here...

This wonderful picture shows the pass through wires sticking their tiny weeny heads above the power distribution box:

To give you a sense of location and to show you why an elf might be better suited to make these electrical connections than a guy weighing 275 pounds... (to orient you, that opaque container on the left is the radiator tank)

I reached the best I could down there and I am hoping that they are taped in the conduit and I will be able to pull them out a bit.

You wires must be taped further down if you didn't remove any tape.
I can't even see mine. Found them only by feel.
The tape is holding all four wires directly behind the black end pieces.

If you pull the carpet back there are a few plugs under the drivers side foot well. One is a big oval one that accesses the cab/frame bolt. I used this one to pass my wires through.
