My new Arctic Cat has been ordered!

Here she is!

http://www.arctic-cat.com/snowmobile...=S2004SCFLXUSG

I went to my dealership and put the order through today. I sold my 98 Arctic Cat Cougar DLX for 2900 bucks. My dealer tried to get me though. He told me it was $7979 for the sled, then he tried to hit me with a freight and set-up cost of $250 dollars. I called another dealership and he said the price was $7979 without any fees. So I called my dealership back and he waived it to make it $7979. Interesting thing is that both dealerships told me the exact same price of $7979 to start with. You guys think that arctic cat, and other dealers, set the price on these bad boys, and the dealership doesn't have much room to negotiate like a car dealer? I'll be picking her up in september, can't wait! I'm only 18, new to negotiations with dealers and such.

That thing is SWEET. I am VERY jealous.

I wish you nothing but deep snow and trouble free riding.

Looks cool, I have never had enough snow to ever see a snowmobile in real life.

My new Arctic Cat has been ordered!

I learned the hard way when i Snow-checked a Polaris XLT a few years back.

The dealership I snow-checked it at was sold right after the season ended. Mine was the first sled that the new owners set up out of the crate (and #5 off the assembly line that year).
I blew a piston with 120 miles on it. They decided that they should change the jetting so it wouldnt blow again. I ended up with a machine that would hardly run and would not top 50mph. I finally set it up myself and changed the fuel pump, which was the problem in the first place, but most of the season was wasted before the problems were worked out.

Bottom line is that you should buy from a dealer who can give you the service. $250 is $250...but theres nothing worse than having your new pride and joy run like a piece of *&$# for most of a season because of an incompetant dealer.

I've been doing business with this dealership for 6 years, I got a no interest, no down payment, no payment till 04, and a 2 year warranty. The sled was a lot cheaper then I thought it would be, so i'm happy. Just waiting for the snow to fly.

I didn't tell you? Thats me in that picture! They make a few of those, they have the guy, I mean...have me sitting in a refridgerator, in a tub full of ice, and outside making a snow angel. This is the crappy part, waiting for september until I get it. I'll be a little happier when I get it, that way I can play with it. But, even then I'll still be waiting for the snow to fly!

Looks like we might get one more last blast in my neck of the woods! We've had freezing rain all day today about 5cm worth so far, now it's turning to snow. Their expecting 5 to 10 cm by morning and snow and freezin rain through out the day for Fri and Sat. I still didn't summerize any of the sleds yet so there all ready to go, if it keeps up!

I'm not to excited about it! We did mega miles this winter! I was enjoying the sweat shirt thing we had going last week.

This year was one of my best mileage wise actually. I'm in college now, so I have a lot more spare time. For the last 3-4 years I hardly was able to go, and last year I went once for 120miles and got sick the next day. We got a little bit, maybe an inch or two here in massachusetts.
