Update.

Well as you all know my truck was getting poor mileage.

Then the other day it broke down.

I did the stand pipes dummy plugs and ipr(that was the culprit)

Well I did my usual friday drive(camp ground)

had half a tank, and the needle barely moved! I was pleasntly surprised about that.

Totally stock, no tunes, and averaged about 65-70mph trying my best to keep it under 2k rpm.

I hope it stays this way for sometime.....I have new fuel filters and an air filter waiting to go in. hopefully it improves it some also.

Normally id use 1/4 tank going up there.

Again, as always thank you all for your help, and support.

The trans issue still is around, when i go to take it out of park it will be hard to get it outta D. im not sure. i might call ford, but i really cannot afford anything out of pocket right now. work is slow, bills never seem to go away.

I kept telling myself i wish my truck would just break down so the problem would get solved. so i hope i got what i asked for haha

The trans should be under warranty. It wouldn't hurt just to go to ford and ask there thoughts on it.

So far, so good. I'm waiting for my IPR to get here. Looks like that's the issue for me, as well.

On the trans issue, how does your cruise control act? I had the problem of it being hard to get outta P to D without pushing real hard on the brake. Also when CC on it would not disengage when brake was applied. I got a new brake switch that goes on the brake pedal arm and it took care of the problem. There was a guy with the same issue and he said he got his part at Napa. I paid around $40 for the switch, I think he said he paid around $20. When I spoke with the tech that did my oil cooler R&R he said that sometime the wires at the brake arm would break or the switch would just go bad!
