Shock Change Without Removing Tires
The top mounting bushing on my right front shock broke on my last trip. Yesterday I finally had time to replace the front shocks. I just wanted to post what I found funny about it. After getting the passenger side of the truck jacked up and the lug nuts off, I could not get the wheel off the hub. I know the tire guys always just kick the crap out of them and they come loose. I gave it a few kicks but it didn't come off. Anyway, I was scared I would kick the truck off the jack. So, I replaced the shock with the wheel and tire still on the truck. It was a little more trouble but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

i just recently started working at a ford dealer and i have noticed that with almost all of their vehicles it is hard to get the wheels off the hub. IDK why?? when i finally do get the wheel off there is jsut dirt behind there, so i don't see why it gets so stuck on there.

I don't know either. If I had the jack under it properly like I would changing the tire I probably would have no problem kicking it off. But, with the jack on the frame extended like it was, I didn't want to chance it.
