Here is the question re: my '05 EB Expy 118k 4x4. It has the electronic temp control unit. The on board thermometer that reads outside temp is not accurate. It is presenting a problem here in So-Cal since on the 110 days the temp inside never gets as cool as anticipated. I have found in the forums how to run the EACT diagnostic for the '03 model year by pressing the off and floor buttons at the same time, and then the auto button. Nothing happens. I have tried holding buttons then turning on ignition, hitting different combinations and still nothing. The system will not go into diagnostic mode.
Does anyone have knowledge of the correct procedure on how to enter the diagnostic mode? Or does this year / model not even support this? Any ideas on how to calibrate the thermometer and or where to look for issues?
by pressing the off and floor buttons at the same time, and then the auto button.
Press and HOLD the off and floor buttons, then press the auto button within 2 seconds while still holding the other two. It's a bit tricky to get the timing down just right, but that's the crux to getting it. Also, the off and floor buttons have to be pressed at exactly the same time.
Hmmm.. Ill keep at it.. That is the pattern that I have trying. My EATC control does not have a dedicated floor button. It has the one button with three setttings (feet, face, defrost). Does this have to be set on floor before you press the pattern?? Its just getting me crazy trying to get it right.
