Well, you know the motto, if she does do it... Pics or it didn't happen. LMFAO She would look good in it though Evan. Your a lucky fella. Mine would probably look good in it too.
The stupid ( cleaning up the language) charge indicator light bulb was bad. The little battery light under the tach. It complete a circuit to tell the alternator to charge
Seriously!? What posses an engineer to design something that way? I mean a burned out stop lamp bulb shutting off the cruise control is bad, but that is just ... I don't even know!
how do you think i feel? i was the one going nuts trying to find it
Yeah, but it's not your fault that the electrical system was designed in such a way that a burned out $.50 light bulb has the capacity to leave you stranded by the side of the road!
So basically if your testing this at home... If you look at the 3 wire plug on the alt, that's the voltage regulator. The green wire comes from the ignition and charge indicator. It should have power with the key on, engine off and with the engine running. The white wire should have 6v and the other wire should have 12v also.
George didn't have any power at the green wire meaning either he wasn't getting ignition power or the bulb was out, not completing the circuit. The voltage regulator needs that 12v signal from the ignition so that it will know when to charge the batteries. Didn't take him long to find it once he knew it should have 12v.
I think you might have changed that bulb in record time George. LOL
