Regret #1: That they didn't come out with the '11 in '05, before I bought my previous truck.
Regret #2: That I didn't trade my previous truck in the moment the '11s became available.

Regret # 2 made me smile. Those of us who jumped on board early were ridiculed everywhere by the Other Brand guys. I can not count how many times the new 6.7 was bashed as just another Ford POS. The DEF haters were everywhere. Even as the miles piled up, the OB guys were relentless in their "wait until you get 50000 mile on that POS" diatribe. 300000 trucks later, 2 billion miles of mostly trouble free driving experience and no recurring issues have shut up all but the most rabid Ford haters. Even the most fanatic Dodge Boy's have decided that the DEF injection is the way to go for increased fuel economy and clean running.
Have these trucks been perfect? Of course not, 300000 plus trucks will have a few problems of various types. The warranty rate on the engine was stated here by a Ford 6.7 engineer at less than 1 engine repair in 1000 trucks.
This is why you see such an overwhelming number of "no regrets" posted here.
No regrets here. This truck is a towing beast and definitely more refined than my '05 6.0.
Some people say to stay away from the first year of any vehicle, or any product. While I was concerned, any underlying fears I had are gone.
Consider the list of changes from 2011 to 2012 (list courtesy of 2000silverbullet). You don't see any 6.7 related changes and nothing major overall.... though the 1-touch up/down on the driver and passenger windows would be nice.

The only regret I have is that I couldn't order my truck just the way I wanted. I didn't want to wait for the 12's and by the time I was ready to do something there weren't any more navigation systems left for the 2011 model year. That left me to dealer availability - which led me to Texas.
That said, the compromises I made are very minor in the big picture - long bed instead of a short bed, no cab marker lights, and no 5th wheel prep. The only one of those I can't change is make it a short bed truck. The up shot is I have plenty of space for 5th wheel/goose neck trailers in the future.
2 months and over 7,000 miles here. The truck is great and I enjoy it every day.
None here.
I too was concerned about ordering a 1st year engine but I had in the back of my mind that Ford would not allow a new model to be classed with the last two engines.
Ford couldn't fail.
Even further, I ordered mine on March 3rd before I even looked at one.
I picked the color based on an F-150.
I have had a nagging shift problem but I've learned to drive with it.
After many dealer visits and flashes, I'm hoping it's one of those things if I ignore it, it may go away. We'll see.
Don't let this stop you. This truck is great.
I still smile every time I need a little bit of additional horse power for a task.
I just bought mine today. Traded a 2003 F350 with the 5.4 in it. Before that I had a 96 F350 with the 351. Neither of those came close to comfort or power as this truck has. It's only been one day with it, but I've got a feeling it's going to be a very nice affair.

Have had mine for couple + weeks and a thousand miles and it is the best vehicle i have ever owned so far. Luxurious, powerful, refined, quiet, damn good looking, comfortable, smooth....shall i contiue to wax poetically?
