ARP stud install question?

The way I read the instructions the lube is only used on the nut side of the stud. And the studs should be only hand tight in the block and not torqued in the block. If someone could confirm this it would be appreciated. Also my kit only came with the 14m studs and not the 8mm so I assume you use the original 8mm bolts. Thanks

That is correct. The studs are threaded into the block hand tight. However, you must ensure that the holes have no oil in them prior to stud installation otherwise they don't seat properly. This will affect torque. Some use compressed air but I used Q-tips and they worked well. After the studs are installed, the lube is used on the nuts.
