To tell the truth guys....I come from a christian family...A CLOSELY sheltered christian home.....So tattoo's, piercings were off limits...

My dad always made the remark of-

"These little boys wanna be girls? With their earrings, etc....Take'm out back an either whipp'em till they get the notion out of their heads....Or Pull out the pocket knife...Giv'em something to act like a girl for..."

So I think a LOT of my indecisiveness comes from that....And that once I get a piercing, etc...I'll be fine...

I mean..I'm this far right? Having the thought, and motivation enough to research things out thoroughly....

I like making INFORMED decisions....

 

Same here. I'm sure that my dad was when he first noticed my then girlfriends tattoos.

Just give it some thought. Do you want to do this because she wants you to and you want to support her...or do you want to do it because it's something you want to do. You can forgo tattoos and piercings and still support (or tolerate) her wanting to do it.

 

I've given thought to tattoo's and piercing for years....But my family would've beaten my *** senseless....And I'm thankfull for them....THey've taught me to KNOW WHAT I'M IN FOR, BEFORE JUMPIN THE CLIFF....


So now after a LOT of thought, etc....I think I'm gonna get the piercings...

As for the GF....She thinks its fair, that because she's a girl, that she can get that stupid bar done....Told me I was a guy, and to stop wanting to do childish things...I'm 22, too old for that crap....

Yet she's 23....And wanting to get that bar slammed through her ear....And a nursing student at that...So I'm sure that's gonna look REALLY cute.....Nurse walk in with a big ol' bar in her ear....Even the clear tunnels still look gawky....

So yeah...I'm butthole....Along with me already wanting to do it, then backing out...it's given me fuel for it once more...

Told her if she wants to get something I don't like in her ear...Fine...I'll get something she doesn't like in mine....

So its not a 110% spiteful thing...More of a thing I wanted to do, that'll serve more than one purpose...

She pulled the "If I wanted that crap, I'd have gotten a guy that already had it.." card....I retaliated with "Same here honey..."....

Yeah..I'm quick on my feet like that...

 

Yeah...that's going to go over really well in an interview. My wife works in surgery (a tech). She was at least bright enough to get her tattoos in places that can be covered up by scrubs. Unless your GF wants to end up working in a free clinic...helping junkies...she might want to give that bar some thought. At the end of the day...you do not see people with many visible tattoos and funky piercings working in jobs like that.

 

You said it brother...Reps....Her rebuttal is this: The clear tunnels that keeps the holes open, will be sufficient.....WTF....You can still see them.....Soooo yeah...

 

She's a woman that already made up her mind. You could produce a peer-reviewed piece from the New England Journal of Medicine stating that the IP will lead to brain damage (yeah...) and she'd still get it.

hahaha i havent gotten it yet! it just took me awhile to figure out what i want, and since ill never get rid of my truck why not put something perm on my arm about my truck? soon as i come across the cash and get it done ill post em up most definitly!

if I were still "Allowed" to drink...I would....But for the time being...If I'm gonna have to live with her and that ugly assed bar...She's gonna have to live with my ugly ***....Plus a set of earrings....

I've tried being logical, civil, nice...Just nothing gets through to her...

I'm not getting this piercing thing. I think it's a dangerous way to identify one's self and over shadows the natural beauty of a woman or a man from a woman's standpoint.
