took the truck out mudding back when i first got it with my friend who has a dodge. turned out to be a real bad idea as we both got stuck and had to leave our trucks in the forest for 3 days while we got people to come and help us winch them out..
so, post all of your mudding mishaps
a few moments before the hell that occured..
oh god.
this one worried me. haha
finally out.
ever since then, ive kept the truck pristine and SHINY CLEAN. i felt so bad for getting it stuck and like that.
i know these trucks arent of this part of the forum..but heres my buddys 86 and another buddys 97 i beleive stuck in a flag pond..five hours later and a burnt up winch we were out..
wish had a pic, buddy calls me tonight, says hes stuck in a rut, so i grab my 92 and off i go.......i was had. get all the way down the trail, only to find this 'rut' was enveloping most of that chevy. you know you are in deep when you have to dig a hole to get a strap around the bumper! couple good hard yanks, and then jst kept on the throttle, that ole 300 screamed, the 33's churned up that trail, and drug him out!
Many moons ago, my brother owned a mid-70's Bronco (the square one). We lived by a (then) Southern Pacific railroad tracks and there was a convenient trail next to the tracks for about two miles. We went down the trail (it was December) and made it just fine.
We then went to a friend's house nearby who immediately wanted to wheel his Chebby C1500 Shortbed 4-by stepside on said same trail. His full-time 4WD let him down in the big puddle 1/3 of the way down so we decided to use a tow rope (three trucker's ropes braided together) to haul him out.
Brother forgot to use 4WD in his Bronco, dug in to the point he was stuck. Went to engage the hubs, found one wouldn't turn. Had to walk home (several miles), get my (long gone) '58 F250 and pull out both trucks with my Ramsey 12k PTO winch.
No real mishap, just had to much fun mudding/field racing in a cube van
LOL! john, your posts are hilarous. ive seen some of your other ones, like your convertible F250. that is funny. how was it in a box truck?

Ray
nice story ray, had to do that on that day-walked 5 miles down the forest..whew.
A lil slow, but fun as hell drifting and doing donuts in this thing, I did this a few hours after a heavy rain so it was slippery
Me and a friend of mine got thrown around abit in the cab cause it was empty and it's got way to many leafs in the back and rides like a dumptruck at the back, front just bounces all over the place though
A full Jerry can of gas lasted half an hour.... damn 460!
i know this truck is a bull nose, but this is after a trip to yankee lake, oh for a night out. Pulled out 6 trucks that night.
Went into a pit and about tipped the truck coming out because there is like a pond to the right of the exit and my window was covered and didnt see it. Had it in the side of it and had one wheel in the air with water coming in the cab
