WOW! You guys are great! So then if I'm getting this straight,... Only a C6 will bolt up behind the 360 or the 390. If I get this old 72 I'll need to change out the engine as well as the trans. ...........That might work out great. That'll give me an opportunity to rebuild the 360 and rebuild or replace the old RAT G1 gear box. I am not sure if it has power steering (which would apparently be a Saginaw on the 72) and power brakes. What a hoot that would be. Got a text into them right now. Sounds like this might be a good purchase for the column and shifter set up as well as the engine and trans.

Thanks for the really great feed back. With info like that I know better what to look for if this 72 doesn't work out.
