Well after reading a few more threads around here I'm not sure LMC is quite so always wonderful as I thought. Sounds a little hit and miss.
That falls under my "other" places for parts in my past post.
Now I am not saying do not use them just carefully pick what you get from them. They are 1 of 2 companies I can think off off the top of my head that get some of there parts from Dennis Carpenter. Sometimes companies like this (lmc) do not even repack the Dennis Carpenter parts. You receive the parts and they are in a "others" box still packaged in a DC bag. So I say why not start at the source and cut the middleman out. If you have been reading other posts you might have seen one where I used LMC for some screws, nuts, and bolts I just could not source from DC, "others" or locally. So "others" do have there uses.
And I will also back NumberDummy on local parts stores for any mechanical parts. Of course some things are not avail locally and you will still need to go to the catalogs for them. Like my rear axle rubber brake hose. Local could not find one from any of there sources for my '72. I got one from them that works but it just doesn't fit the frame bracket (zip ties are keeping it tight right now). I am sure DC or one of the "others" carry the correct hose.
Been thinking about getting a sand blasted old truck parts service going.
Don't forget the powder-coating service to go along with that. And don't discriminate on the 2 wheeled guys.
I just payed a shop just under 3 bills for the following to be blasted and coated:
R&L '72 inner door panels
'72 air cleaner and cover (added zinc coating before color)
'07 Ranger running board mounting brackets (added zinc coating before color)

I'm laid off, again, but you ain't gettin' my bumpsides (see my garage/gallery) unless you open your wallet.... They don't cost me anything just sitting around.. I figure by the time I am 60 I might have the time and money to continue on the resto of my '68..

Carpenter lists the rear brake hose for a 1965/72 F100, lists nothing for an F250 or F350.
1968/72 F250. There is one hose for 2WD's, two for 4WD's (depends on the serial number).
Since I dunno if your F250 is 2WD or 4WD, here's both listed for a 1972.
C8TZ-2282-D .. Rear Brake Hose-18 5/8" long / Obsolete
Applications: 1968/72 F250 2WD & F350.
SOEBY MOTOR CO. in Walhalla ND has 1 = 701-549-3711.
HIGH BUCK! BOB ALLEN FORD in Overland Park KS has 7 = 800-676-0675.
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 14 = 800-543-4959.
Soeby will prolly be cheaper than Green, a lot cheaper than "Snake" Allen. So...if you call Soeby, be aware this 'mom & pop' dealer closes for lunch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C9TZ-2282-A .. Rear Brake Hose-22 15/16" long / Obsolete
Applications: 1969 F250 4WD from serial number E24,001, 1970/72 F250 4WD.
Thank you.
I guess those 22 might be the only ones left as when I looked even the aftermarket did not have them.
But now that I think of it I have 2 "Standard" boxes kicking around somewhere with some kind of brake hose in each. I can't quickly find them. They might be front hoses. I can't remember. I do know one was bought for the '72 and was special order or a warehouse stock only item so I got 1 for the '68 also.
Well I found National Parts Depot online today thanks to 7283's urging and they look great. Got a cataloge ordered. The wife is just standing off at a distance hoping this doesn't get bad. She's so cute. Will check out Dennis Carpenters site later and see what goes there. The more I think about it the more I like the sand blasted parts business angle. I gotta tool up somewhere anyway to get mine done. No way am I paying somebody hundreds and hundreds to do it for me. I pulled all the trim off the Ranger this weekend and found the enemy. Rust. Knew it was there but I realized then that every rebuild on these old all metal relics will need to be blasted,..... if done right. I have this weird situation where the shop I'm working at has a large empty metal building that would be perfect for what I need to set up. If I do this right I might be able to keep my self busy cleaning restoration specific clients parts so I can do mine too. Make a few extra bucks for the mega parts for me. I'm just thinking outloud. And how cool would it be to eventually expand into powdercoating?

So you don't (I mean she doesn't) what to hear that this generation of F-Series seems to be the most expensive to resto...
Ok.. I will not say that...
Glad to see you found NPD. I think they are also a sponsor of FTE. There is a page or something on FTE with a list of all sponsors and some of them run specials at times for FTE members, so keep an eye out for that.
Number dummy. thanks for all the info. I think for now I am just going to keep using the line I have on it for now. After all I just changed out a rear wheel cylinder (2.5" rear brakes PITA) and bled the brakes last week just before getting it's firs inspection sticker in 10 years. Now I just need to get it back to the trans shop to get them to find 3rd gear in the C6 so I can drive over 35-40mph. And it needs an alignment.
Hope some of you genuises are looking. Got a stupid question. Is a 360 a small block or large and will a C4 bolt up to it. Got a trashed 72 I'm thinking of buying for the trans., column and drive line to temporarily put behind my 360 (in my 69). I need it to self propel for a little while before I strip it to the frame.
352, 360, and 390 all use the same block. They are part of the FE family of engines. Small Block and Big Block are technically Chebby terms but if you had to classify it using those terms it would fall under Big Block. The only auto that will fit the motor is the C6 and it also needs a FE bell housing.
There are also at least 2 columns. Power steering and manual steering. I know there were 2 different power steering setups, saginaw and bendix. I also think each used a different column. I am pretty sure the 72 if it has P/S is a bendix setup (similar to what is seen in later 70's and 80's F-Series.
Number dummy should have all the year cutoffs.
I am guessing the 72 is a F100 with I6 or 302 in it. If it has power brakes or P/S that your '69 does not have you should snag all the parts off the '72 to upgrade the '69. If this was already mentioned I have already forgotten. I do that from time to time.
The 352 has a 4.00" bore, so it's not the same block as a 360/390 that has a 4.05" bore.

Bendix P/S: 1966/68 F100/250 2WD / 1969 F100/250 2WD before serial number D96,001.
Ford (Saginaw) P/S: 1969 F100/250 2WD & F350 from serial number D96,001 / 1970/72 F100/250 2WD & F350 / 1973 and well into the 1990's on F100/350's & F(Super Duty).
Ford P/S & 4WD: 1977/96 F150 / 1977 F250 from serial number Y20,001 (not a High Boy) / 1978/97 F250 / 1979/97 F350.
P/S not available on F350's until 1969 .. from serial number D96,001.
Ford P/S also used on myriad 1965/2002 Passenger Cars, 1978/96 Bronco / 1975/99 Econoline / 1984/91 Ranger and etc etc etc.

C4's were not installed behind FE engines. 1965/67 F100/350 352: MX Cruise-O-Matic (2WD only) / 1968/76 F100/350 360/390: C6.
F100/250 360 4WD not available w/a C6 until 1973. 1959/72 F100/250 4WD: All, regardless of the engine size, used manual transmissions only.
There is no C6/FE bell housing, it's made as part of the trans case.
