ibuzzard asked me about starting a thread on old gas/service stations. I'll just start it off with this one I have on my computer right now (desktop background).
If anyone can provide pics with Ford trucks in them, all the better. I know Donald has a couple.
I'll start with these. This first one is a favorite because it's a MacMillan Gasoline station. No idea who the people are. As I understand, my name had the "a" originally but my Grand Dad dropped it. So I collect MacMillan gas and oil signs and cans.
This next one is the Roswell, NM, welcome center. Nicely restored.
This Signal station is in St. Johns, OR, and has been turned into a cafe. It's a beauty. I'll do more later. Stu
I think it would be freaking awesome if one of the big companies (exxon, shell, marathon etc.) would change their pumps and building "looks" back to the classic way like in those pics. LOL just the gas pumps would have to be modified to accept debit/credit cards
I pluck most all of my pics off of the internet, after I ask the author's permission. Some I've taken the liberty when it's posted on an open forum.
It's the sharing of some great history that I believe in.
