Old service station pics thread

This old Standard Oil station was owned and operated back in the 70's and early 80's by the father of a girl I dated shortly out of high school. The county bought the land adjacent to it and built a new public library. They shortly decided that they needed more parking and tried to buy it from him to turn it into a parking lot. It was his livelihood at the time so he refused. They began eminent domain proceedings to force a sale. Good old Dick had the last laugh. He had it declared a historical structure and landmark. The county did get it in the end, but they couldn't demolish it. They ended up selling it to an individual who restored it into a mini-museum instead. Here's how it looks today.

True, true. I was in my Nova the day I took it. I want to get back that way with my F100 and park in front of it.

Seeing the old Conoco sign sparked my memory. There is a place on I44 near Cuba, Missouri that has a ton of signs you can see from the highway.
I just did a quick look and found a web site for the guy.
Cuba, MO - Bob's Gasoline Alley
Here are the two pictures on that site.

These are two pictures of a gas station in Old Town Cottonwood, AZ that has been turned into a café. The 51 Plymouth is permanently parked there.
The back billboard shows the Vette used in the Route 66 TV show but the sign was changed to show Route 89A for this location. A portion of Route 66 still goes through Flagstaff which is about 75 miles north.
