What, if anything, is to be done if I change the size of the tires on my F-250. I want a 265 instead of the 245 but they come 5mm shorter. On my previous truck, a Dodge Cummins, it messed with the anti-lock brakes and the speedo when I changed the tires from stock.

IIRC the superduty came with either 235/85/16's, or 265/75/16's
Both are the same height. I have both on my dually. it shouldnt be a problem for ya.
as long as all 4 tires are the same size, your truck will never know you changed them.
taller will kill your performance a bit, but the PCM won't know the difference. You will run into issues (abs mainly) when you stagger the tires.
your speed will be off if you upsize the diameter. You can visit the dealership and have them correct that for about $50. or buy a SCT programmer and you can correct that in the options...and get custom tunes at the same time. so win win IMO.
I was wondering what larger size AT tire (width and or height) I could step up to for my 05 F350. I don't have a lift kit and have the stock continentals (18", the worst I ever experienced) and mainly use the truck for plowing the winter months. I always used BF goodrich AT's on my old 86 F350. They did the job and seemed to last. Should I stay with stock size for any special reason? I'm thinking wider would be better but don't want them sticking out of the fenders. Just looking for some professional advice and some personal tire preferences. Thanks, Mike M
