Hey guys I am in the process of looking for another dent. I want something I can drive in the winter. My buddie might be selling his. My question is, can you buy a 6" lift that is complete? Is there a kit that acounts for everything? Like brake lines and steering?
It's for a 1/2 ton. I have never installed a lift on a truck before. I do have basic mechanic skills though and was just wondering if I could install one myself. I know the 6inch is prob alot more involved than a four inch.
actually i dont think it is much different at all other than part sizes a little different.
i would like to know also whats needed as far as a complete KIT to do the install.
What don't they tell you that you need to extend or move to get it to work?.
Just a warning and dont mean to scare you these complete kits that are sold are always full of surprises. I don't care what brand it is something will go wrong. As long as you have some patients and some creativity you'll figure out the little obstacles these manufactures let out.

.
Yeah that is what I figured and why I posted. Just wondering how much these kits usually leave out.
Well I didn't necessarily buy a kit but seems like no matter what I buy it's never complete or it's wrong all together. It's frustrating sometimes. Every week is something different hurry up and wait. This week I got my dual steering stabilizer kit from bronco graveyard which is not right. 1st I noticed they forgot a bushing in the one shock so still waiting on that. Tonight I found out they sent me u bolts for a D44 when I ordered a 60. Stuff like that plus when you do lifts things sometimes need relocated or altered that you don't count on.
Heres a list( off the top of my head)
Longer drive shafts
springs
radius arm drop brackets
sway bar drop brackets (if equipped)
Rear suspension (springs/add a leaf)
Rear u bolts
drop pitman arm
Thats all i can think of ATM
