3-4" dp and stacks

Doing some work for the family and noticed some old stacks laying around, they arent the mitre cut like a i want but my buddy craig said you would be better off with turn-outs or flat tops with a rain stop (clacker). he said that with mitre's or and open top that rain would go down causing it to rust and smoke like crazy. what are your opinons. Also I got a three inch body lift so i didnt have to bash in firewall and it looks like i could fit a 4" would you guys recomend it, i plan on bigger turbo stage 2's hpop, and intercooler, would a four inch fit on stock turbo?? thanks so much for the help
P.S or would i be better off buying system i like the bark of the straight pipe under the cab, idk if stacks will make it louder or a system thank you!

Literally thknk about it... how much water can fit in your exhaust system, you'd meed.gallons and gallons and gallons! Do it and don't look back. With the soot that covers these pipes rust isn't even in the picture

It will blow soot on your truck and anyone near it with enough rain. And if your worried get a couple buckets. I hate flappers. The sound annoys me.

All you would need is a 3" DP. The 3" DP is good to the mid 500 hp

Just when it sits. There is enough heat and pressure to keep the water away from them.
