I have a 50 Ford with 1975 351W and C6 auto transmission installed and need a little help with 3 steel tubing lines coming from the transmission that were cut during removal and/or installation. There are 2 lines coming from the passenger side rear, top and bottom, and one line towards the front above the filler tube. Where do these lines go? I need to hook them up again. Ive got a Napa store for a source for the tubing and I have a tubing bender, flaring and cutter tools. Thanks!
I have a 302 with a c6 which came out of a 78. The line from the very rear of the transmission ( this one has a rubber hose on the end) go's to the rear of the manifold and the other two go to the transmission cooler.

Thanks for the info! The one with the rubber hose is the kickdown Im assuming? What if I dont have a transmission cooler? Can I just make those 2 lines loop back into each other without any harm?

Well, not exactly, the kick-down is mechanical and is on the same lever (kind of) as the manual shift arm on the other side. That hose goes to a vacuum shift modulator, it’s there, right?
So is this (the vacuum line one) in addition to the above mentioned three steel lines? (as per 3golfjack post)
To the best of my knowledge there are only two cooler lines, one in, one out, (you don’t need to know which is which) so I think you have too many steel lines!
The top rear one may be a vent pipe.
The two cooler lines should be flared lines screwed into fittings in the case.
Edit
The vent is not at the rear of the trans. it is above the front cooling line fitting.
There should only be the other cooling line fitting at the rear as well as the vacuum modulator which would be connected to a steel line by a piece of vac hose.
As stated above the 2 steel lines on the bottom passenger side are for the fluid to circulate through a cooler or the bottom of your radiator if so equipped. Then you should have a vacuum line from the modulator on the passenger side back as stated by Old F1.
On the drivers side should be a mechanical kick-down lever going from about mid bottom of transmission to the carb. Mine is just a hollow rod flattened on the ends with eyelets.

Theres only 3 lines. 2 at the rear and one at the front.

Is the top rear line attached to the case with a clip and both ends not attached.
It may be the hard line that comes down from the engine and connects to the vac modulator.
