cab leak

My F100 has been leaking water into the cab on the passenger side from somewhere under the dash since it was almost new. I cant really tell where it is comeing from. Has anyone had this problem? Could it be the windshield or is it coming from the water vents in the cowl?

Check your heater coil. That is usually a symptom of a good heater coil gone bad.

your windshield is probably leaking. mine was until i used some windshield sealer from auto zone. it worked good.

If it's not engine coolant or condensate from the A/C, then it's either the windshield or the seal around the heater core pipes where they penetrate the firewall. Some caulk or butyl sealant (Tacky Tape) will fix it.

Thanks for the replies. I have never heard of windshield sealer available at parts stores. What is it and how do you use it?

cab leak

I have used that stuff from advance auto with good success. It's just clear silicone that is very runny so it flows down behind and next to the trim to seal it off.
