It would make sense to me that they would. It's an arm that's gets pushed up and down. The faster the rpm the more it moves up and down. Maybe someone that knows a little more may chime in.
Mine probably is an exhaust leak. I cut the cat off a while ago to take the insides out and then welded it back on, I was never able to get every little pinhole closed up. Have a small hole in the muffler too. My whole exhaust system is rusting from the inside out
Fuel pump rod usually sounds like a dull slap slap noise. Or sometimes a rattle noise. Kinda muted cause they're inside.
A common tick noise at idle that increases with rpm could be a cracked flexplate.
Is there an easy way to confirm its the flywheel? Just a visual inspection? Will it do any harm? PO said he put in a new clutch. Perhaps they didn't replace the flywheel or damaged it in the process.
