I have a 1997 F150 that I changing the shocks on. The front shock on the drivers side went perfectly. The passenger side front is the problem. On the drivers side I used a bushing on top and underneath the upper bracket. The passengers side will only let me put 1 bushing on.
I could use some ideas on what to do. I've never had this happen before.
Might be a stupid question ( by me), but is the original bushing/washer still stuck on the under side of the upper mount ?
Side note- several of the last pairs of front shocks I replaced seemed to have rubber bushings that were too thin. Top nuts ran out of travel before any compression at all of the upper/lower bushings.
