mate, me again. I thought the mod was to do with the oiling gallery/ports on the main journals. It involved blocking one off on number one (as thjere is two-this alone surely would be worth a serious look) and a restriction/drilling on another one, but it was all on his website. I was going to look into it but as I'd already assembled my block when it was released on his page, i thought stuff it and kept going. Have a look at his website about his bearings and it mentions his mod with a suggestion to email him for more info.

On the oil gallery mod. It helps restrict the flow to cam on front journal. Its like a bypass to cam on front journal. plug hole and drill out the oil journal and helps keep oil to crank. Also need to check oil pump clearance. Pull plate off and do a basic depth mic or caliper check to see if good to go. .0025 to .003 is common on oil pump. catch you later.

Thanks for the info Wyoming. By any chance would you have a pic showing this? I know I ask a lot of questions and I don't mean to take adverse advantages of the people on this but if I don't ask I will never know the right way of doing things. The knowlege on FTE is ENORMUS and would surely fill a couple of large books just on the dos and don'ts. So I wish to say THANK YOU ALL for the info passed on to myself and many others. John

The 335's oiling system in stock form is adequate for street and most mild performance applications. If sizes are kept within .0002", the mains align bores, rod bores & crank. Get it balanced, clearance the bearings with a good set of mics and a dial bore guage, champher the cranks oil holes and get a good oil pump. Then you can expect the botom end to last a good long time without any of those fancy modifications.

Check this out:
TMeyer, Inc. Precision Automotive Machining
this is the web page that "USED" to have the info on the TMeyer oil gallery mod. It had a caveat on the bottom to email him for more info. I did have it on my computer, but did some housekeeping and got rid of it because it was on the website and it would hopefully be an awfuly long time before I'd have to pull by donk down to rebiuld it! The photos are still there but.

go to my albums and you can see a block that I'm working as we speak and using tim meyers cam bearings. I'm building my block up for future upgrades if needed. go to albums with engine 6.7 liter cj. You will see many photos of a 400 being built up about as far as you can go. Like mark said you can keep your bearing clearances tight .002 to .0015 and will have a reliable engine and will have a good engine. But if your wanting to upgrade tim meyer is good guy to have in your back pocket. I've never used this cam bearing before and once this is all complete will give a update. I'm wanting a better than OEM engine and these are things you have to do. If wanting to go even further you get into lifter bore restrictions and many other extreme upgrades. How much you want to spend situation, drag racing not 4wd daily driver like most of do on here.
