Hi, I am new to here and I am restoring my 1950. I am nearly complete. However, I need some help. I ended up buying a truck that had a fairlane fiberglass front end on it for parts and used the front end since they don't make this anymore. The issue is when I picked it up the owner only had one of the pieces that bolt to the running board that the front end sits in when it is down. I have been on a chase for one of these for a while. I am not having any luck and may have to fabricate one. I am hoping that someone out there can help me. Thanks in advance and I look forward to any and all help.
Welcome to the forum... I thing the best thing to do is fabricate the other one. It should be a mirror image or the exact same if it is strait... Have any pics of the part? and we would love to see your truck....
I will have to get pics. I think I am going to have to fabricate the piece. It is not flat, but my dad and I can do it. I was just trying to get it done. This is our father/son project and I have loved every minute of the last year. This was originally his truck and he has had it for 35 years. I am trying to attach pics, this may or may not work.
This is the latest and greatest. Still have to paint bed strips, grill bars, and fabricate said piece and paint it. Then to finisihing the engine and wiring. After that exhaust and interior and drive.
Hi: Nice job on the truck, it looks awsome. I am doing a 1953 f 100 and I would like to have a flip front. I would apreciated any information or advice. I would like to keep the inner fenders some how and I have to have a front bumper, I live in Manitoba Canada and have to have a front bumper to pass safety. The truck has a nova clip with a gm van tilt steering column and power assst front disc brakes.
