Actually that is the stickers engineering number, and not the calibration number, although you can "reverse engineer" that number to find the actuall code, but it's a pain in the butt...
The actual calibration number is or was located on the valve cover.
An example Calibration number would be something like: CK265AA
Hmmm - not likely to be able to get any info off this - the left side is too faint to read!
I'll check the right side tomorrow, thanks! Strange though, I thought the calibration code was on the left side, because my 1986 Ford shop manual describes a format for the engine I.D. label that differs from the one you thoughtfully provided:
Your Calibration would look something like ; 5-51K-R00
Carter YFA Carb; E5TE-9510-XX (BA, JA, FA, MA, HA)
Hello, Vinny! Your responses are always of great interest to me. While this may be an old thread, I believe that Galendor will be glad to have the input. I see that he currently is online.

Hello David, well, I was in here, so I thought I would add to it.
Always interesting to read past comments, especially by folks I have met.
I assume he got his Carb tightened back down and all is well.
There was some web correlation between the 8509 & 8603 numbers to a Carter Motorcraft 7596S as well.
