Hey guys I installed a luk solid mass flywheel & clutch kit 25000 miles ago, Never had any problem untill after this long wet winter in Oregon....Now when I'm pulling huge loads say 10,000 & up, to start out; it wants to buck when letting out the clutch or in reverse I have to put it in low range to place the 5 wheel or its inpossible to back it up due to reverse being so hi geared & wants to buck you out of the cab. I always use 1st gear anyway but its like a driver useing a clutch the first time, the wife gives discusing looks too. Pulling the boat it doesnt do it, its loaded weight is about 6500lbs. It shifts fine after it gets going and never have had problems with heavy loads before, Ideas?.. master cyc is fine on fluid, everything replaced, new piloit, throwout brg, press plate, flywheel,,( no wasnt warped, run out fine), new rear main seal, I checked with luk with my id,,its a true LUK clutch..not a china knock off.....the truck has 125,000 on it. one other thing after the luk install the trany was noiser but was told it was normal for the solid mass to do that.
Thats exactly what the only Luk clutch I've had did. Don't have that rig anymore so I have no answer other than to go to a different clutch. You could run Redline MTL in the transmission instead of ATF. If I had a ZF that is what I would run in it. Would quiet it down some.
