Would a new blower be better than the factory? You are right they are slow and they suck. I want snow in my cab dang it. I know it is cold air, put your hand next to the vent and it is ice cold, but it is like it doesn't have the umph.

I tried one and can't say so. And they do seem to have like half the airflow over a newer full sized truck from what I have seen. Maybe part of that would help the perception of how cold it gets as well. I don't know what its like for people in the back seat on those hot days.

But there is a mod some have done in wiring a full voltage kind of turbo speed hooked to a push button for the ac. I have it saved to my desktop but have not tried it yet.

i don't know about that.
my 88 is like a meat locker inside. it can be 100 degrees outside, and it will be in the 50's inside.
and that truck has close to 500,000 miles on it.

Ok guys I am still having problems with it. The air comes out and it is cool, but not cold. I have checked everything. I have checked and I have regrigerant, what else could it be? I noticed the A/C Accumulator is freaking ice cold, much colder than the air coming out of it. Not sure what the issue is.

Oh yes I have checked the refrigerant and it is where it needs to be. Maybe a little high, but still it what is concidered normal operating range.

Did you open up the heater box when you first fixed the blend door? If not take the cover off and check it out. Some times a pencil or something simular will fall threw the defrost vents and wedge in by the blend door, not allowing the door to shut completely.

and more often the insulation around the door gets old and falls apart letting hot air mix with the cold

I think I am having the same issue with my 2012 F250. Can you give me more specifics on what you did?

Hopefully @tjc transport can move your post to the appropriate forum. I doubt a 2012 truck has much similarity to earlier trucks.
