Hey ya'll! I'm in need of help again. When I bought my '82 it came without the carb breather. The ole boy recently found the breather and gave it to me, but not the screws/bolts to secure it with. Could ya'll point me as to what size/kinds of bolts I should get and where from? Also, what size inlet/outlet would I need to get for a muffler? I can't seem to track that bit of information down. Thanks again ya'll!
I would go to someplace like Tractor Supply Co. and ask for some "all-thread" of various sizes. Try each one til you find the size you need, then get as much as you need.
As far as the muffler, just get a tape measure or ruler and measure the outside diameter of the pipe. On my '81 with a 302, it has a single 2" pipe. Other trucks are different though, I've seen all kinds of setups on similar trucks.
Thanks! I'll be sure to stop by there on my way into work.
I'm prolly gonna sound naive (mainly cuz I kinda am about this stuff) but just how do I install a muffler? I just want it for the sound (wouldn't mind a little bit of performance help though). What all do I need to buy?
