Engine Temp gauge quit working; Testing The Temp Sensor
Engine Temp gauge quit working last weekend.
I'm pretty sure it's the sensor, as I have disconnected and reinstalled the battery terminals, and when I turn the ignition key to the on position, the gauge pegged then went back to zero.<O

I searched the forum, and found a post on how to test the sensor, but cannot locate again.<O</O

Am I correct that my gauge is not the problem, probably the sensor?<O</O
Does this gauge monitor water temp (sensor above water pump)?<O</O
Can anybody tell me how to test the temp sensor (keep in mind I'm not an electrician?)
Does anybody know the part number for the sensor?<O</O
Any pictures would help.

Ordered the sensor for about $15, assuming I've got the correct one from local dealer.
I will post the correct part # once I verify.<O</O
