I have had my SG2 for 2 months it is set for diesela my MPG does similar going up steep hills with trailer or boat and also when decelerating or down hill it likes the 9999.

I understand the 9999 downhill.....most ALL vehicles with MPG meters do that.

I did do the diesela and b tests....a was correct. Guess I'll live with it....That isn't
what I bought it for anyway....

I think you are seeing .365 and .434 MPG.
I "think" I get this when accelarating up the interstate
on-ramp in the AM. I'm kind of busy and don't really
may much attention @ that moment.
