can i swap a pcm from my 99.5 to a 2002 to see if it will strat it. can it kill my pcm. there both auto so i dont think that is a problem. what i have is a guy is selling a 2002 4x4 with 98k miles on it for $3300, he had i tested and the pcm will not read the rmp 2 new cps and it still wont start. he says pcm dead i think wire to cps broke. if it will start it can i drive the truck 50 miles home or will i hurt the truck?

Procrastinated on a 02 c.c. dually for 4500 buks, but had a dead cylinder. By the time i was ready to pull the trigger, it was sold the night before, then just so happened, the following day, a 116k mile 02 7.3l engine was posted on craigslist for 1000 buks....in truck for buyer to hear....shoot me.
