Looks great! Just spent the last few days doing this to mine. Finished fabbing the pipes today (fingers crossed that they don't leak) and the inlet clamp to the spider is the wrong size!

What part number is the clamp? It seems that I have to order one from Ford or buy one from a list member send me a PM if anyone has one.

Are you refering to the new (little wider) V clamp between the turbo and the early 99 Y pipe? if so this is the part #

Might be a dumb question but can you use the pipes off a 99-03 7.3??

Yes you can, they are actually the easiest to use, but still take some modifying.

I had two sets lying around. One aluminum the other steel. Ended up adding two and a half inches to both but in different areas. Taking the inner fender out on the passanger side is worth the effort as you have good access to the lower clamp.

Thanks for the part numbers roentgeep. The v clamp on the stock y pipe is too narrow and the ford dealer wasn't any help.

It knocked about 100 degrees off peak egts. (but the pipes are leaking too, so it should cool off more once the leaks are fixed)

I'll try to get you some better pics... I have been real busy, trying to prepare for going out of town Sunday -Wednesday (I am going to a conference monday and tuesday, so I may be hard to get a hold of.... just text me, and I will call you back at lunch break or something.)

I added about 2 1/2 inches to each pipe (about) depending on how the cooler is mounted will determine the length of your pipes.

BTW, I used 99-03 7.3L pipes (3 of them) you can just use 3 in exhast pipe if you only have access to 2 intercooler pipes.

Need to be careful because some of the early ones were aluminum not steel.

Is there an advantage to steel?
