I was told that the E brake assy. is the same pattern as a 4wd t-case, as in if the e-brake were removed a transfer case would bolt right up. The tech at the dealer confirmed this and said it was a 4x4 trans in a 2wd to accomadate the e-brake assembly. I dont know of any F-350 that had this setup though, could it be from an F-supeduty (F450) ??

This is not the trans that I am considering, but it has the same setup. This is from an E-350.
The trans i was going to look at is from an F350 Dually. I have decided not to bother with that trans, since it has no speedometer gear in the tailshaft. I would only buy it as a core, and change out the tailshaft.
My main question now is:
Can I leave the e-brake in place, and use my C6 slip yoke on my driveshaft. I know that my driveshaft has to be shortened.
