Transmission??

My dad is thinking of buying a 93 f-350 2wd duallie. It has a 460, but the transmission is toast from what the guy tells us, what transmission does this have, and what would be the avg. cost to rebuild?? thanks alot, Aaron

93 F350 should have an E4OD When I was working we used to quote $2500. This was in a ford dealership, I should think you could get it done for considerably less in a trans shop.

If it has OD then it's an E4OD. If not it's a c6. They phased them out in the mid 90's

could also be a zf transmission if its a standard
