Am thinking seriously about ordering the Scangauge II.
On the Scangauge site they list quite a number of "XGauges" for Ford vehicles.
I have a 2003 EX, so I am not sure if it is PWM or CANSF, but in either case they include certain gauges I would like to have access to, including trans temp and converter speed ratio when I am towing.
I have searched and read a number of posts concerning the Scangauge II, but was wondering if anyone has verified that all the "XGauges" do appear when added.
I haven't tried all of them by any means but added the ones I wanted for towing.
transmission temp, oil temp. Mileage is out of the box. The coolant temp is a little odd, but oil and coolant are usually within a few degrees if things are working right.
They are a handy little tool.

Thanks for the reply.
Transmission oil temp is a must. However I thought it might be good to know if the converter is locked up under certain conditions.
If pulling a long hill on the interstate I'd like to know that the converter has dropped out of lock, thus letting me know that a downshift should be forced. By forcing a lower gear I would hope the converter would again lock up.
I think this might keep the trans oil temp from rising higher than it would if the converter were not locked.
Comments welcome.
Some of the other "XGauges" also look interesting, but not sure if they would become a regular on mine.
I added as many as were available when I got mine and 99% worked...
after you put the first xcode in, you then learn the trick of copying editing once xcode - changing the xcode # to the next number in line, saving it, then easy to change it to what you want...
copy and paste is your friend
but like with anything - do some layout before you get started so when you cycle through them the grouping will be what YOU like....

Many thanks for the info and reps to you.
It is good to know that most, if not all, will display.
Maybe a little late, but you may also want to look at the edge insight. It is easily configured to show 2-6 different things at once and has a nice display. It is also a code reader. It will show trans converter lock up. I usually show EGT, boost, trans slip (lock up), coolant temp, oil temp, trans temp. I have not used a scan gauge II. I had the insight on my previous vehicle so it was a easy decision for me to go with the insight.
No I did not add all of them. Not all of them apply to the V10. Some are for the Diesels. I used trans temp and slip ratio. I have no need for the other stuff. You really don't want to put them all in if you have no need for them. Having a bunch of gages that you don't use makes it hard to find the one you want to display. It is like a needle in a haystack. If you have trouble with a gage they will help you get it working. You pretty much have access to any sensor that is on the truck.
gr8scott72,
Appreciate the response. Did look at ordering from Autozone online with their discount, but still comes out more than ordering from Amazon (no tax and free shipping).
Red Ex,
That unit does look nice and has a lot of features, but the price tag is more then I want to spend. Thanks for the info.
perryg114,
Great suggestion on the number of gauges to have available. I do plan on displaying only the ones I need.
Another "trick" put the X-gauges in in alphabetic order.
It will make it easier when you want to find ICV to know it'll be after EOT and ICP and before TFT.
The edge is a little more. I did a quick search and found it shipped for $220. Search Edge 83400.
Thanks Red Ex for the tip. Am trying to be conservative in my spending right now but still get the most bang for the buck.

(Boy I hate adding a new one out of order).
Great tip Misky6.0, Thanks.
Should have my Scangauge within a week....looking forward to getting much more vital info than I have had so far.
You will definitely like your scangauge. I would also suggest getting a mount for it. I had mine velcroed to the dash for awhile, but just installed a panavise mount (P/N 751072398) that works pretty slick. Good luck.
