hollowin' the cats was a bit of a project because we cut the pipe about 6" after the cat and left everything in tact ... just wire hangered from there on back out of the way. then, we started with a crow bar and just rammed the snot out of it. slow goin' at first, but once you start chippin' away at it, the pieces start to break easier. a little more of that and some help from the long rebar and we were making progress. the only thing that was a bit of a booger were the wire mesh parts in there, but they just needed a little finesse (and some long, thin pliers) to pull on out. so, one down and just the front one to go. oh for clean up, you've got 2 options: a shop vac stuck in there will help or just fire that sucker up and stomp the gas. you'll see a nice white chalky cloud fart on out of 'er. it was a productive Friday night

i thought about un-bolting the cat and cutting it off where it turns to single pipe and do it that way
