And I too have that issue with people seeing me....Makes me feel like my truck is vulnerable, and that nearly everyone that wals by is gonna peep in to see what they wanna take..
And idk about 5%. Id rather not get 80$ tickets left and right for it. Mind you the truck is white so even 35% would look dark
Also, off topic but i wanted to show this off. This is how close i am working to the arch in st.louis. Im a carpenter so i get to go pretty cool places
Great looking truck of course. I can't believe how well that mother's polish worked! Are you sure you didn't get a check from them and swapped headlights to make us buy Mother's?
Regular old fine rubbing compound works just as good or better by the way.. I don't have any after pics, but mine looked like DTRs and came out like new again with just some cheap rubbing compound.
do you have like night vision goggles to back up at night? YOU KNOW......a can of black spray paint would have done the same thing LOL
Nope...To tell the truth...My vison isn't bad at night...simple fluctuations in light wreaks HAVOC on my eyes though....After I get a new windshield, I'm gonna have it fully tinted...Somewhere around 35% at the darkest....
Just something to knock the retina searing glare off the headlights of other cars, etc....
What are yalls takes on an exhaust?
Here was my plan:
2 1/2" tubing from the "y" back
dual in/dual out cat
2 "bullet" style glass-packs
4"tips 45 degrees out the back (behind the rear tires)
Suggestions open! I want a deep tone but i also want it to scream when i crack the throttle

What motor is this ? 2 1/2" tubing from the "y" back - 5.0 ? If your going to do the 2 in/out cat why not a dynaflo-x 2 in/out that adds an X pipe to the mix and sounds nice. I have it on my 351 with 2.5 pipes and its a nice mean tone when the throttle is cracked and nice deep tone cruising. Comes in 2.25 , 2.5 and 3 in/out. The X pipe inside all of them is 3" I went 2.5 for more tone over the 2.25. 119.99 but when you figure its two mufflers and a X pipe in one, also stainless, I think its a fair price.
that truck is a beaut! i love the color and tool box!
anywho, as for the exhaust, i'm in the process of completing mine between working and 2 kids under age 2. for about $45 i'll do it on the cheap:
1. go to your local parts store and purchase a few tube couplers and some exhaust clamps
2. take a sawzall to your exhaust and hollow your cats (take that, tree huggers!)
3. replace your muffler with a similar length glass pack
you'll have great flow, retain most of the original exhaust if it's in good condition, and won't break the bank. i haven't gotten around to attaching the glasspack yet, so mine's still open after the rear cat and i love the way it sounds! i just did it Friday night
my wife texted me 3 minutes after i left the driveway this morning for work @ 0600 that she must have been really tired yesterday because the exhaust was loud. to me, i don't think it's loud, but it sure makes the truck sound like it's got some *****! i may just skip the glasspack after all and just swap in some straight pipe where the muffler currently resides .... hmmm. (EDIT: sorry to ramble and no intentions of hijacking)
best of luck with your new love interest!

Good part about this is if Mr. Inspection looks to see if the cats there too. I kept my cat JIC this happens and I get the Nice Red R.
exactly! the good thing about Florida is, well mud, of course, and that we don't have vehicle inspections. i was figuring on keeping the cats JIC also, but it helps me to retain the stock tubing and keep costs of modifications down. plus, who doesn't want to take their aggression out with a pry bar and 3ft. piece of rebar against a defenseless cat?!
Well unclecracker302, you sure made me reconsider!
NOW, i think im going to hollow out the cat and throw either a cherry bomb extreme single in/dual out; Small glasspack, Thrush Welded single in dual out. That way i can use the stock exhaust routing with little modification and if i decide to change up the exit, it'l be a snap.
Today, i think im going up to the LPS to pick up plugs, wires, cap & rotor for it
